Armada PJ 2018 CNY Feast of Prosperity

In the blink of an eye we are at the last day of January and CNY is just around the corner. How many of you are ready for CNY?

What’s your plan for CNY dinners? Yes with a “s” because we are all about gathering with multiple groups of friends, families & colleagues ~ eating to end the year, feasting to start the year and not to forget reunion dinner with family.

I already had my first lou sang earlier this month. Yes, it’s extremely early considering it to welcome 2018 and the soon to come Year of the Dog. I had a scrumptious one at Armada PJ Hotel

We kicked off the feast for a prosperous new year with a Lou Hei

Ours is the Tiger Prawns and Clams Yee Sang. You can select from different Yee Sang options such as Marinated Scallops (Japanese version) Yee Sang, King Salmon Yee Sang, and Fruitti Veggie Yee Sang (vegetarian). The Yee Sang is priced from RM78+ per portion.

We were greeted by the Prosperity CNY Hor d’oeuevres after our Lou Hei. It’s like the Chinese Wedding 4 Seasons.

It was followed by Braised Seafood Broth with Dried Fish Roe & Crabmeat

I love the generosity of fish roes within the soup. It’s in every scoop.

Then we had the Steamed Chicken with Ginger & Scallion

The chicken meat is tender and juicy. Served together was the Chinese Assortment of Meaty Rice and also the Deep Fried Garoupa with Onion and Ginger Gravy.

By the time we reached the Braised Mushroom with Mustard Plant in Fatt Choy Sauce, I was so full.

But then again who can resist the Stir-Fried Prawns with Salted Egg Yolks. You can taste the strong salted egg yolk in this succulent dish. Yum yum yum. I love this the most amongst all the dishes served.

Then we had the Sauteed Top Shell in Yam Savarin (Yam Ring). This for me is average. I still prefer the traditional Yam Ring.

What’s a meal without dessert right? We had mocha, deep-friend nien kao and chilled sweet apple with Gingko, Red Dates to end the night.

You have a choice to choose from having a CNY buffet or for a more private session, an exclusive CNY prosperity set menu.

CNY dinner buffet will officially start 1 February (that's tomorrow) till 2 March 2018. It features “good luck” dishes including Stir-fried Crabs with BBQ Sauce, Steamed Chicken with Ginger and Scallion, Tong Kwai Roasted Duck with Plum Sauce, Deep-fried Fish with Black Fungus Mushroom and Stir-Fried Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk to name a few. The CNY Reunion Buffet Dinner is priced at RM88+ per adult, RM62+ for senior citizens and RM44+ per child.
